Homi's first impression Orphea build
Hey I got to play a few Orphea games at blizzcon and I can say she is really fun, probably overpowered, and high tier on waifu tier list
For level 1 I liked En Pointe for most games. It gets consistent value and is surprisingly easy to proc. Ancestral Strength is really good if you have a hero like Jaina or Arthas who can perma proc it
Level 4 I think Allegrissimo is insanely powerful. Setting CD to 1 second instead of 2 is huge (see Medivh) and it makes you insanely mobile. Plus it synergizes with your passive so you get lots of crits off.
At 7 I like Mind Devourer because Chomp is really difficult to get off in teamfights, Orphea doesn't have much health, it has a long windup and its range is way too short. Devourer is also surprisingly easy to stack and once you get it done it gets insane value for poke
Eternal Feast can maybe be good with wombo like VP + Apoc. Can't think of many other times to take it over Jaws though, Jaws sets up your spells, sets up other people's spells and it also enables you getting picks since its CD is so low. Feast also rarely gets more than 1 proc off and Jaws actually does more damage if Feast only hits once
On the Blizzcon demo, Determination was actually 75 spell armor and "take X spell damage during that duration and do 50% more physical damage for Y seconds". That version of the talent is even more busted but even if it ends up being 50 spell armor and 15% physical damage it's still really really really good. You wanna be hitting your Q's anyway so you can probably have 100% uptime on a spell shield on top of doing more physical damage which gives you more healing from your passive. Invasive Miasma might be pickable if enemy team has literally 0 spell damage but I'd say 99.9% of games just take Determination.
Bond of Anguish sounds underwhelming when you read it but if you're getting your level 4 proc and hitting it on, say, a tank and a squishy you get quite a bit of healing from that on top of doing solid damage on a 1 second CD. It's also the only talent at the tier that increases survivability so I just think it's too versatile to not take. I can see Dead Magic maybe being a pick vs. like Cassia or Kharazim or something but I find it rare to get more value than Bond (should also note blinded autos consume Chaos but don't do damage or heal you so try not to auto while blinded)
Every talent at 20 except Monster Within is amazing. I personally like the ult upgrade because vulns are really really good on top of the fact you get resets. It also counts any takedown (like Tyrant Maw), not just takedowns within the ult duration (unlike Death Wish). It just gives you so much kill power. The 100% spell power is definitely insane but fights have to be pretty slow to get it off which is rare at level 20. I could see Final Toccata being really really good but it's actually pretty hard to pull off, maybe with time and practice it will be the pick but ult upgrade just does so much and is consistent
That's my first impressions on Orphea, will probably change over time and the hero seems busted so she'll probably get nerfed but in the meantime, have fun on her because I know I will AYAYA Clap
Shadow Waltz deals an increased 90% damage to enemies hit by its end and grants 1 additional Chaos.
Reduce the cooldown of Shadow Waltz by 1 second.
Hitting Heroes with the end of Shadow Waltz sets its cooldown to 0.75 seconds.
Quest: Hitting Heroes with Dread increases its damage by 5, up to 150.
Reward: After hitting 30 Heroes, hitting an enemy Hero with Dread's eruption sets its cooldown to 6 seconds and refunds 50 Mana.
After 1.25 seconds, pull enemies in an area towards the center, dealing 250 damage and Stunning them for 0.5 seconds.
After dashing with Shadow Waltz, Orphea gains 50 Spell Armor against the next enemy Ability, stacking up to 2 times. While Orphea has Determination, her Physical Damage is increased by 15%.
Bond of Anguish
Shadow Waltz deals bonus damage to Heroes equal to 3% of their maximum Health, healing Orphea for 50% of damage dealt.
Crushing Jaws reduces the Armor of Heroes hit by 50 for 3 seconds. Takedowns set its cooldown to 5 seconds.
