Fingers of Frost
Quest: Gathering Regeneration Globes increases Jaina's Mana Regeneration by 0.1 per second, up to 2 per second. Reward: After gathering 20 Globes, the damage bonus from Frostbite is increased by 10%.
Jaina goes through mana easily, so Fingers of Frost will help remedy that, with a nice touch of 10% increased Frostbite damage. Wowee.
Dealing damage to a Chilled target returns Mana to Jaina. Basic Attacks return 5 Mana and abilities return 25.
More mana return! If you don't feel you need even more mana, then go Frost Shards. Frost Armor is relevant too if you're against an AA-heavy composition.
When Frostbolt hits a Chilled target its cooldown is reduced by 1.5 seconds and you regain 10 Mana.
Your greatest weapon now can be fired rapidly, and with even MORE MANA RETURN!
Summon Water Elemental
Summon a Water Elemental at target location. The Water Elemental's Basic Attacks do 78 damage, splash for 25% damage and Chill. The Ability can be reactivated to retarget the Water Elemental. Lasts 20 seconds.
Both are great options, take whichever you feel will work better. If they aren't clumping up and you need peel vs Genji/Tracer, take elemental. Ring of Frost can win games, however. I do suggest trying it if you haven't already.
When Jaina does increased damage from Frostbite, she is shielded for 25% of the total damage dealt. This Shield lasts 4 seconds.
I like Ice Barrier for self-protecc, Icy Veins is your only other option here.
Enemies damaged by Cone of Cold are also afflicted with Vulnerable, increasing the damage they take by 20% for 2 seconds.
Both cone talents here are great, I just go with Northern Exposure because it allows me to kill things quicker. To each their own.
Increases the cast range of Water Elemental by 50%, and the Water Elemental will now mimic your Basic Abilities for 50% damage.
These talents are all lackluster minus Wintermute. You can pump out some extreme numbers in an instant with this.
