Main tank Mal'Ganis

Greetings Heroes community!

Fury here with a short guide to our new Hero joining the Nexus soon and I am very passionate about any new Warrior joining my hero pool so I really wanted to test a few games and share my thoughts with everyone. Hope you enjoy! I'll look to update this as much as I can if anything comes up to mind or any changes are made to the Hero.

After three games solo on PTR as Mal'Ganis I feel like I am slowly learning what he can do, I was playing him as a tanky front line and I honestly feel like it can work. Mal'Ganis has great sustain and a large HP pool for a warrior and decent CC so to me it spells a tank more than bruiser/offlane mainly because his wave clear is really slow ( which it should be, don't give tanks wave clear) and I feel like his only strength in a solo lane is being able to 1v1 and sustain in his lane but he will get pressured into his towers a lot if his laner has great wave clear. Overtime myself and the other tanks on the HGC teams will be scrimming with him and testing out what we like best so much more info will get released as we learn more about this hero and I am super excited if he gets stapled as a "main tank".

Below are my current talent choices with brief explanations and are subject to change as the PTR is going on until his release. I hope this guide will help prepare everyone for the first Demon of the Nexus and a unique style of gameplay this hero provides. Good luck and have fun everyone!

Thanks for the support.

Time to Feed
Mal'Ganis heals for 70 when damaging a nearby enemy Hero. This can occur once every 6 seconds against each enemy Hero, but is also refreshed when they are Slept by Night Rush.
Time to Feed is really helpful on sustaining yourself in team fights, hitting as many heroes with abilities will keep your hp pool up. Pick Winged Guard if they have strong auto attack Heroes such as Raynor,Zul'jin, greymane.
Fueled by Torment
While Necrotic Embrace is active, Mal'Ganis heals for 12 when damage is taken and Vampiric Touch converts 20% more Hero damage into healing.
Overall the best sustain talent for Mal'Ganis, really strong vs tracer/tass since they attack really fast and this also benefits from minion waves attacking you. I like Might of Sargeras If they have HEAVY burst damage such as Jaina,Li-ming, maybe junkrat riptire? Also for those rare games of Kael'thas and Kel'thuzad Might of Sargeras will save you from the large burst.
Will of Tichondrius
Each enemy Hero hit by the first 2 slashes of Fel Claws causes the final slash to steal 1% of maximum health from heroes, up to 4%. If at least 4 enemy Heroes are hit with the first 2 slashes of Fel Claws, then the final slash Stuns enemies for an additional 0.5 seconds.
After testing more, I really like Will of Tichondrius instead of black claws only because it helps sustain yourself even more and pairs well with his lvl 16 talent blind as a bat. Black claws is good damage if you really don't need the healing for yourself ( double support comp )
Carrion Swarm
After 1 second, disperse into an Invulnerable swarm of bats for 3 seconds, dealing 120 damage per second to enemies. Vampiric Touch heals for 75% of Carrion Swarm's damage to Heroes.
Both Heroics seems good, Carrion Swarm would be more consistent in most games. Dark Conversion seems nice vs Malthael,Tychus,Leoric who drain your hp low and allowing you to swap hp bars as long as they are in range.
Deep Sleep
Increase Night Rush's Sleep duration by 0.75 seconds and its Movement Speed bonus by 10%.
I really like Deep Sleep, this allows you to get to the back line faster with the extra 10% movement speed AND sleeps them for 0.75 seconds longer which is huge in team fights. The Night Beckons is alright choice if you don't have enough CC on your team and will allow you to combo your sleep into Carrion Swarm. Blood Rush is decent with double support on your team and if you go black claws this talent will allow you to keep up with targets to keep autoing and using Q
Blind as a Bat
Activate to erupt with blind rage, removing the cooldown and Mana cost of Fel Claws, but losing all vision. Lasts 6 seconds. Enemy Heroes hit by the final slash of Fel Claws reduce the cooldown of this Ability by 4 seconds.
Okay this is the fun talent that just yells to me "YOLO!!!" You lose all vision but can spam your Q over and over again without any mana cost and CD. This talent works very well with his lvl 7 if you choose Will of Tychondrius. The obvious downside to this talent is you have to guess where the enemies are ( not tested if other heroes abilities grants you vision) and spam Q hopefully hitting the mark each time. Try to pair this talent with CC from another Hero on your team. This talent will require strong coms from your team basically telling you which direction to go if you don't really know. Oh, I guess if you don't want any fun I guess you can pick Plague Bats but where's the fun in that?
Seeker Swarm
Upon expiring, Carrion Swarm's bats seek nearby enemy Heroes, dealing 132 damage and Sleeping them for 2.5 seconds.
Seeker Swarm seems very strong, you can combo this talent with your E ability for maximum CC. Alone in the Dark can work well if you can sleep the healer every time and this will prevent them from targeting the team with any heals or large CD's they might need in a fight.
