It's been a great journey with HHE.
We started out as Buttered Toast, just an amateur team hoping to make it through the Open Division to the HGC. Not only did we do that, but we took NA by storm and eventually became a top contender. I absolutely love this team and everybody surrounding it, but as it stands, I’m no longer looking to compete professionally in Heroes.
I have other things I want to accomplish in life, and I felt that it was unfair to my team and the potential BlizzCon trip for me to be there and not be putting in full effort. With this in mind, I am leaving mid-season in hopes it helps the team out by getting someone who loves the game and is more motivated.
The rules will allow HeroesHearth a few weeks to find a replacement player. Whoever the team chooses to play with by the time the playoffs roll around will be who joins them at BlizzCon.
As for what I will be doing, I am hoping to pursue some sort of career whether it be streaming or playing competitively in Dota 2 or potentially another upcoming title. It seems unfair to me to ask the Heroes community for support in this endeavor as I would not deserve it, but any support would be massively appreciated.
Thank you so much to this team. This is the best team I have ever been on, bar none. I truly wish for their happiness and successes to come, they deserve it.
Huge thanks to the support staff involved with HeroesHearth— to Renal for being a great guy and helping us out since day one. To Cauthonluck for being a source of never-ending info, motivation, and a remarkable sixth voice that we could rely on. To Romedy for helping us out with our mental game and keeping our eyes on the big picture. To Workhorse and Brasky for their incredible support throughout, for creating this amazing community which I was lucky to be a part of. I could not forget Blizzard themselves, either, for the support of the game and setting up remarkable broadcasts for it, and of course every crew member and caster involved with that.
Heroes is a great game, but at the end of the day I don’t believe it is my true calling. This is potentially a final farewell from me, but who knows where I will end up in the future.
